DP 99

Party like its’99….Again!!!

Remember Prince?  1999?  If not then you need to go google that shyte or something cuz you won’t understand this…well you will but you won’t get it, get it?  So Your good friend Jon Oh! Has been bombarded with lots of W’s1 lately… work, why’s, women.  Thus far has been pretty tumultuous for Your bro.  As you should know I released the biggest hit of my career I’d say…

Dance Party!!!

Which immediately after releasing it I felt like this….

Because Your dear old friend knew what he’d just done.  He had just struck oil anew in the states, or found gold as some would say.  He could hear the potential involved.  It moved him, and you know how our narrator feels about something moving him?  Why it moves others as well!!!  And right he was.  People old, and anew loved it, smash straight from the gate I tell you.  Pleased with the results he was, and you know what?  MTV.com even picked it up eventually!  Blogs, and websites alike, one by one extended their helping hand at getting the project the attention that was needed.  And after all that trouble my friend would you believe that our dearest pals Big Gigantic weren’t able to let him gain credits on the song???????????????
Oh yes I neglected to inform my friends that their friend hadn’t recorded this particular song over his own beat, he hijacked to be honest,
carjacking
But it was never my intention to rob BG*of any royalties of any sort no, no dear brother.  It was actually me who reached out to my beloved(#LoadedLuxvc) and told them of the whole ordeal, but no luck their manager simply replied he couldn’t do it…

Made me feel like the guy in the blue I ain’t lying……

I was taken aback.  All the time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears I’d put into building my “Dance Party” campaign only to find I’d not be able to run in the election!!! Damned your brother was, frustrated not only with thyself, but also with questions coming from others concerning the song, and the direction of thy career.  Was it over for our beloved hero?  Certainly not, if it were he wouldn’t be our hero then would he?  He instead looked at all of it as a learning experience that he could benefit from hence….

#BlackClockWork

After a few days of discern Jon Oh! said something was still wrong, the old material seemed to plague your brother, troubled him something terrible.  He had to come up with an answer......And just like that!  Whilst enjoying time with his main Mary Jane, the answer came from the heavens…Dance Party!

Best way to explain it really.  My career had a tire with a hole in it.  Instead of changing the tire I’d been using fix-a-flat.  It’s finally time to change the tire.  Dance Party ’99, a revolution in hip-hop dance music.

O.P.P. (revisited)

‘S happenin? Hope everyone out there had a SafeFun-Filled Holiday weekend!!! I know there was tons of DANCE PARTIES(‘99*) out there!!! Unfortunately I’m still sittin here like

Siiggghhh...

Still waiting for iTunes, Amazon, etc… to post Dance Party ’99 so You All could have somethin’ Fresh & New, 2 Party 2! But like the saying goes, “All Good Things Come in Time”, sooo in the meanwhile I wanna run a side experiment! I’m trying to choose the next single and would like some feedback on my current choice. Its entitled “Fugg Up Da Check(O.P.P.)”, it’s about spending money that isn’t yours and I feel…I know it has the potential to be just as large as Dance Party ’99. Perfect follow-up because when paired with ‘DP99’ it gives a perfect example of my #2Entity trait, that I so love. Also it gives a perfect example of my versatility and ability to drop Hot Shid(Nelly vc) no matter the topic, situation, or beat!! Let me know what ya think, if I get enough positive feedback then I’ll release the official track!!!

Hip Hop and Coachella

Coachella weekend 1 just ended, and from what was shared it looks (Speechless)

Shid makes me feel there....Anyways I felt all inquisitive this morning and wanted a full history of the fest, so I went 15 Years in the past to read up on it, and every lineup it's had since.  I'm mostly a hiphop fan so that's what I was mostly scanning for.  Unfortunately there were really no hiphop acts involved and the only acts I recognize is Rage Against The MachineTool, and Moby.  In 2000 they took a hiatus, and when it came back in 2001 more hip-hop acts were added like
Mos Def &  The Roots.  That would've been a dope show to attend, if I could.  Throughout the years hiphop has been incorporated more & more and now you can see visuals like this....
By the end of my research I discovered that Coachella's actually been around for 15 years now, with hip hop acts in a little bit more than half of them.  Of that list here's the ones that I'd sacrifice time to go back and see...
2006 showcased an array of artists i'm fond of such as Gnarles Barkley, Kanye West, James Blunt, and Madonna

2010 also peaked my interest that being the year they added the LCD sound system and Jay Z & Gorillaz played
Here's the link to Coachella's History, in case you wanted to check it out yourself,  see what you missed.....
