I Wanna Meet George (Black Yuppie Ep. 3+)

So this summer you probably seen me in an area near you promoting my new music
Jon Oh! Promo IMG_0221IMG_0219 IMG_0220
Yeah its some killer shyt and I got more in the oven for ya, but thats not what this blog is about(though I couldn't help but use the opportunity for free promo). This blog is about the monumental moment(s) that I missed while putting in that leg work. Now I wouldn't take back what I did for the world!!! Got to do a lot of stuff that I'd never done, (& a lot of people never will) so I'm happy, but the price I paid for it was substantial. No no we're not talking anything of monetary value, but an experience. A chance to meet a legend not only to myself but to millions I'd imagine. Tony Montana told you that anything was possible with a dollar and dream, this fellow actually showed you! By now the picture should be getting pretty clear about who I'm getting so antsy about.
gjYep thats him. Now lets be clear about something. Its not what he did that fascinates me, its how he did it, and his philosophies on life. He followed his natural calling. Yes he was caught, but that's also what you learn from him...no not how to not get caught, but to not do it!!! Anywhoo our dear old friend has been out of prison 5 months now and I had no clue. It wasn't until yesterday I was watching the movie for the 111th time when I said to my friend he's about to get out, my pal then stated to me that he had already been out.

I always thought of myself as pretty hip, I'm pretty up to date & current so how could I miss this??? I'll tell you how, I was living my dream which requires you to be so busy with yourself sometimes that you miss whats goin on with others. Never intentionally though and I know Mr Jung would understand because he specializes in living out dreams. Now that you've got the back-story my whole intention of this post is to get in touch with the aforementioned and maybe get a sit down with him, maybe a little video footage? Picture a George Jung cameo in a Jon Oh! video, that shid would be raw asf!!! Or even if he's doing seminars of some sort I could attend it and have a meet and greet. So I need you to reblog and share as much as possible so that it gets the right folks attention. The efforts put forth in making this happen would be greatly appreciated as well as put to GRAND use. Don't wanna make this awkward so I'll just leave here...bye.

DP 99

Party like its’99….Again!!!

Remember Prince?  1999?  If not then you need to go google that shyte or something cuz you won’t understand this…well you will but you won’t get it, get it?  So Your good friend Jon Oh! Has been bombarded with lots of W’s1 lately… work, why’s, women.  Thus far has been pretty tumultuous for Your bro.  As you should know I released the biggest hit of my career I’d say…

Dance Party!!!

Which immediately after releasing it I felt like this….

Because Your dear old friend knew what he’d just done.  He had just struck oil anew in the states, or found gold as some would say.  He could hear the potential involved.  It moved him, and you know how our narrator feels about something moving him?  Why it moves others as well!!!  And right he was.  People old, and anew loved it, smash straight from the gate I tell you.  Pleased with the results he was, and you know what?  MTV.com even picked it up eventually!  Blogs, and websites alike, one by one extended their helping hand at getting the project the attention that was needed.  And after all that trouble my friend would you believe that our dearest pals Big Gigantic weren’t able to let him gain credits on the song???????????????
Oh yes I neglected to inform my friends that their friend hadn’t recorded this particular song over his own beat, he hijacked to be honest,
carjacking
But it was never my intention to rob BG*of any royalties of any sort no, no dear brother.  It was actually me who reached out to my beloved(#LoadedLuxvc) and told them of the whole ordeal, but no luck their manager simply replied he couldn’t do it…

Made me feel like the guy in the blue I ain’t lying……

I was taken aback.  All the time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears I’d put into building my “Dance Party” campaign only to find I’d not be able to run in the election!!! Damned your brother was, frustrated not only with thyself, but also with questions coming from others concerning the song, and the direction of thy career.  Was it over for our beloved hero?  Certainly not, if it were he wouldn’t be our hero then would he?  He instead looked at all of it as a learning experience that he could benefit from hence….

#BlackClockWork

After a few days of discern Jon Oh! said something was still wrong, the old material seemed to plague your brother, troubled him something terrible.  He had to come up with an answer......And just like that!  Whilst enjoying time with his main Mary Jane, the answer came from the heavens…Dance Party!

Best way to explain it really.  My career had a tire with a hole in it.  Instead of changing the tire I’d been using fix-a-flat.  It’s finally time to change the tire.  Dance Party ’99, a revolution in hip-hop dance music.
